Parent & Child Claim

The Parent Accompanying Child benefit from Vhi Healthcare allows up to €40 per day, for a maximum of 14 days per calendar year, towards a parent or guardian’s travel and accommodation expenses if their child is hospitalised for more than three days.

To be eligible to claim this benefit you must meet the following conditions:

Your child is a member of Vhi Healthcare and is under 14 years of age (at last renewal date).

To claim for Child Home Nursing benefits you need a Parent Accompanying Child claim form. This can be sent out to you by post or you can print one from here.

Gather together all your eligible receipts for the fourth and subsequent days of your child’s hospital stay and ensure that each of your receipts is dated.
Attach your eligible receipts to your completed Parent Accompanying Child claim form and return to: Vhi Healthcare, IDA Business Park, Purcellsinch, Dublin Road, Kilkenny.
