Introduction

We have launched a Special Investigation Unit (S.I.U) to help minimise the number of billing errors or cases of overcharging experienced by our customers.

While we have always had a claims investigation team, additional resources are now being invested in the new S.I.U. to ensure that all incidences of error or overcharging are identified and rectified.

Help us to help you

We need your help to ensure that as an organisation we are not incurring additional costs on your behalf.

Please be vigilant when examining your statements for accuracy to ensure that the details of the treatment outlined is correct. Where you think an error has occurred, please contact the S.I.U. by phone or e-mail.

Your help will lead to an increase in potential savings for Vhi Healthcare and its customers.

What does the Special Investigations Unit do

The S.I.U. will contact the relevant providers and confirm exactly what treatments / tests / accommodation were involved and these are checked against the billing information provided.  We will then verify this information with the customer.

What happens next

If we establish there has been an inappropriate charge, the money will be recouped from the Provider. We will notify you of the outcome and future billing will be monitored.
