Under Plan B Option you have full cover for a semi-private room in most private hospitals*. Full cover means that the hospitals and doctors providing your treatment are listed as 'Fully Participating' with Vhi Healthcare. Hospital Care
	Full cover for a private room and treatment in over 60 public hospitals.
	Full cover for a semi-private room and treatment in over 40 private hospitals excluding the Beacon Hospital, the Blackrock Clinic and the Mater Private Hospital.
	Full cover for many major heart surgery and day care procedures in the Beacon Hospital, the Blackrock Clinic and the Mater Private Hospital.
	Access to over 1,900 Consultants.
	Up to €100 per night for accommodation expenses incurred when travelling for cancer treatment - maximum of €1,500 per year.
	Cover for eating disorders, such as anorexia and bulimia.
	Up to 91 days in-patient care for alcohol or substance abuse in any 5-year period.
Care When Abroad
(while on holidays for less than 180 days)
	Cover for in-patient hospital costs of up to €100,000.
	A 24 hour medical telephone service with access to an English-speaking medical expert.
	We'll find a local GP for you or direct you to the most appropriate local hospital or clinic.
	We'll manage and monitor your on-going care.
	If you've forgotten to bring your prescription, or lost your medication, we will assist you in getting a replacement.
	We'll arrange for an air ambulance home for further treatment if medically necessary.
Maternity Benefits
	Full cover for up to 3 days private accommodation in a public hospital or an allowance of €3,150 for up to 3 days accommodation in a private maternity hospital.
	Up to €910.21 towards doctors' fees incurred while you are in hospital having your baby.
	Up to €3,150 towards the medical expenses incurred for a home birth.
	Your newborn baby is covered free until your next renewal date.
	If your child is in hospital for more than 3 days, you may claim an allowance of up to €40 per day to help with your travel or accommodation costs, for up to 14 days in a calendar year.

	NurseLine 24/7 is a confidential telephone support service staffed by qualified nurses who supply information on a wide range of medical conditions and queries. It can also arrange a 2nd opinion where appropriate through Best Doctors®. This service comprises of a panel of 50,000 leading international medical experts.
