	The Terms and Conditions of Use have been read by the user (see below).
	VHI will attempt to keep the information and the resources contained on or accessible through this site timely and accurate, but makes no guarantees, and disclaims any implied warranty or representation, about its accuracy, relevance, timeliness, completeness, or appropriateness for a particular purpose.
	VHI may change or modify the information, services and any other resources contained on or accessible through this site, or discontinue this site altogether, at any time without notice.

Vhi Healthcare fully respects your right to privacy and will not collect any personal information about you through this website without your explicit permission. The information you provide will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VHI from any liability, loss, claim, and expense (including reasonable legal fees) related to your violation of this agreement.

Miscellaneous

VHI’s failure to insist upon strict enforcement of any provision(s) of this agreement shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right.

VHI serves VHI members, Irish residents and employers whose principal place of business is in Ireland. VHI is licensed to underwrite health coverage in the Republic of Ireland only and does not engage in the business of insurance outside Ireland, except as may be permitted by law. Nothing contained in this website, with the exception of the Policy Manager Section, shall constitute a solicitation, offer or acceptance of a contract of insurance or be construed as creating or modifying any agreement with Vhi Healthcare.

This agreement and the resolution of any dispute related to this agreement or this site shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any legal action or proceeding between VHI and you, related to this agreement or this site shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction sitting in Ireland.

Terms of Use Specific to Policy Manager

Definitions

Access

Access to Policy Manager is provided on the understanding that:

• Policy Manager is provided to allow registered current Policyholders to view and administer their Vhi Healthcare Hospital Plan.
• Policyholders act for all members included on the policy.
• Use for any other purpose is prohibited.
• Vhi Healthcare will endeavour to provide access to the system at the agreed times, but no warranty is given.
• Vhi Healthcare may terminate access to Policy Manager at its own discretion.
• Policy Manager will display to the Policyholder details of a Multi Trip Policy .
  
  

Data

• Data retrieved from Policy Manager is confidential and must not be disclosed to any third party.
• The Policyholder undertakes that, to the best of his/her knowledge and belief, any information provided via Policy Manager is true and complete.
• Inappropriate use of Policy Manager will result in access to Policy Manager being revoked by Vhi Healthcare.
• The information disclosed by Policy Manager is within the terms of Vhi Healthcare's registration under the Data Protection Act 1988 and 2003.
  

Security/Authentication

Policyholders wishing to access Policy Manager must register with www.vhi.ie.

Vhi Healthcare will then provide the Policyholder with a PIN, through the post, which the Policyholder must provide on request on each occasion the Policyholder accesses Policy Manager.

The Policyholder:

(a) must keep their PIN and other login details secret;

(b) must not record the PIN in a form or manner which would be intelligible or otherwise accessible to an unauthorised person;

(c) must notify Vhi Healthcare, immediately, should the Policyholder either suspect or become aware that their PIN or any of their Login Details become known or available to an unauthorised person.

Acting on Instructions

The Policyholder authorises Vhi Healthcare to act upon all instructions received in respect of his policy or policies (once accompanied by the appropriate login details and PIN) which have been or appear to Vhi Healthcare to have been issued by the Policyholder, without taking any further steps to authenticate such instructions.

Vhi Healthcare will accept instructions from Policyholders 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Instructions will be effected as soon as is reasonably possible.

Recording

Vhi Healthcare shall record Instructions received by way of Policy Manager and, in the event of any dispute arising in relation to any instructions or alleged instructions, the record so kept by Vhi Healthcare shall be proof of such instructions or alleged instructions for the purpose of such dispute.

Alteration of the Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions may be altered by Vhi Healthcare at its discretion from time to time and will be altered by Vhi Healthcare to comply with any regulatory directive or to enhance the security of Policy Manager. Any such alteration will be notified to you by a posting an updated version of the terms and conditions on this Website.


Communications

Communications between members and Vhi Healthcare via the Ask the Experts service are not encrypted - please do not use these services if this causes you concern.
